Second entry in the “Catch Up” series. Haha. A little background … both my brothers and my best friend joined me for a two-week European Beer Excursion we titled The Gypsy Beer Experience. This link will take you to a copy of the Itinerary:The Gypsy Beer Experience
By my count, we made it to 7 countries (Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, France, and Luxembourg), drank approximately 94 different beers in 5 of these countries, visited 21 breweries, and visited 18 places on the All About Beer Magazine’s Growler List. Please feel free to follow the itinerary if you like … we deviated slightly the first day or so due to some delayed flights but overall this was what we did to a “T.”
This is #77 on All About Beers Growler list: Die Weisse.
I started a couple of days early, but my brothers joined me for the last day of Oktoberfest. The next morning we drove to Salzburg, Austria to visit Die Weisse. Let’s just say we were all not on the top of our game. He he. This didn’t stop us from having an excellent lunch and a couple of good beers. Really liked this place — would have liked to have spent the evening here watching the flow of people in and out. The beers were good and the food was excellent.
It is definitely worthy of entry on the list … if you are in Salzburg, stop on by! Oh, from the pictures — you can tell we were tourists! haha.
